How To Add a Custom Seed to Your Minecraft Server

How To Add a Custom Seed to Your Minecraft Server

Adding a custom seed allows you to control the exact world generated on your Minecraft server. This is great for recreating specific landscapes or sharing a unique world with your players.

Step 1: Open Our Server Panel

Step 2: Edit Server Properties

  • Scroll down and press the three dots (More) button.
  • Select Properties from the dropdown.
  • Look for the line labeled level.seed, world seed, or simply seed.
  • Enter your desired seed value there.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

  • After adding your seed, scroll up and press the SAVE button to apply changes.

Step 4: Reset World Files

  • Navigate to your server Files section.
  • Delete the folders named:

- world

- world_nether

- world_the_end

  • This resets your existing world files so the server can generate a new world based on your custom seed.

Step 5: Restart Your Server

  • Go back to the main server panel.
  • Click Restart to reboot the server and apply the new seed world generation.

Important Note

Changing the seed only takes effect when a fresh world is generated — deleting the existing world folders is necessary for this to work correctly.
